Program Description
The SageGlass(r) electrically tintable product gives one the ability to electronically control the visible light transmission and solar heat gain in a window without loss of view (e.g. performance characteristics include a visible light transmission of 62 to 3.5% and a SHGC range of 0.48 to 0.09). The fading protection offered by our product is also outstanding - stopping both the UV and visible light that causes fading.
We live in a dynamic environment, so we believe we should have dynamic glass - stopping glare, providing greater thermal comfort, reducing energy consumption and always maintaining the view outside. The product is especially useful in LEED designs where maximizing daylight for occupants is an important goal and a popular route for achieving this is through increasing the amount, and light transmission, of the glass, which can cause significant light and heat control problems. The
SageGlass(r) product can solve these resulting comfort and energy problems without resort to shading systems which compromise the occupant's view and connection to the outside. As such the SageGlass(r) product provides a new powerful tool for daylighting design and energy efficiency.
